MEET OUR LEADERSHIP

Brian Sprague

Founder - CEO - CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD

Meet Brian Sprague – Founder of Texas ACM

Brian Sprague is a 100% Disabled U.S. Veteran and a lifelong music lover with a deep passion for Texas Country. After launching what would become the Texas Music Chart—now the largest digital country music chart in the nation, tracking 258 radio stations weekly and syndicating a Top 10 Countdown to over 50 stations worldwide—Brian saw a bigger need emerging from within the music community.

That vision led to the creation of the Texas Academy of Country Music (Texas ACM): a nonprofit built to restore dignity, legitimacy, and opportunity to an industry that too often leaves independent artists behind.

"As a Veteran, music saved my life. I know firsthand how powerful it can be—and I’m committed to opening that same door for others," Brian shares. Through Texas ACM, he champions access for Veterans and teens who want to enter the music industry, not just as artists but as engineers, producers, and professionals.

Texas ACM was also founded to empower working musicians, offering funding, mentorship, and community support for career growth. And because great music needs great venues, the organization helps equip under-resourced bars and venues with the tools, training, and support they need to host live music successfully.

Texas ACM is more than an organization—it's a movement to uplift talent, amplify voices, and build a stronger foundation for the future of country music, one artist, venue, and community at a time.
